Saving Hera! We finally found the Wolf House where Hera is in a dirt cage that was filling up. Piper and Leo worked on getting her out, while I had the joy of fighting another battle. This time against Porphyrion, the king of giants, who was one big dude!! Piper and Leo freed Hera and Porphyrion runs off. Gaea is stopped for now!!! But I know we are not done with this battle yet!!
Giants, ogres, and monsters, oh my!! We devised a plan of attack, which involved me being bait (not sure how that happened) Piper went to free her dad, and Leo used the big machinery as weapons to attack. The only problem was that Encelaudaus kept calling these ogres to be formed from the dirt around us. After barely surviving, we defeat them all, and Coach Hedge takes Piper's dad home, so we can continue our quest.
Separated! Thalia helped us find the bridge Aeolus's castle floating 60 feet in the air but we were soon separated by the disolving bridge. Thalia set out to find Hera her way, while we kept going to Aeolus to give him the winds and find out what else he knows. He seemed like a nice guy but then went a little psycho and we gave him the storm spirits and got out of there after finding out that Piper's dad was being held by a giant named Encelaudaus on Mount Diablo, California. So off we go on a side quest, Piper is my friend after all.
Family? We harnessed the storm spirits and ended up in Pikes Peak, Colorado and rested in cave. Piper was cold with hypothermia from the rain back at Midas's mansion. The rest did not last too long, because all of a sudden, we heard wolves, and they sounded really close. The worms stormed in led by Lycaon, the wolf king. It looked like our last battle, when silver arrows started flying, aimed at the wolves. Lycaon, and a few others, took off, cursing our new allies. A troop of hunters came into view and their leader, Thalia (who did look a little familiar) asked if she knew me. Then, it came to me, she was my sister!
Rich for a minute! For a short time, I thought we had hit the jackpot, but really it was just more trouble. We were flying over the Bay Area, on our dragon, just like any other demi-god would do (hah), when we got shot down by a laser and Festus was unrepairable. Old tech, new tech, strange tech, I have seen it all. We crept into this house next to where we got shot down . When we woke the next morning, Coach Hedge was awake, and this old guy and his son came into the room. Turns out we landed in King Midas's yard! He wasn't too happy and ended up turning Leo and Piper into gold. Coach Hedge and I kicked their butt and tricked Midas into touching his own son. I had to call down some lightning and rain, (did I mention my father is Zeus) and the running water turned the gold back to its original form. I wonder how much I could get for a gold Piper statue? Just kidding!!
Coach Hedge! We tracked down the storm spirits in Chicago but found out they were trapped in cages in an underground mall! Not only were the spirits there, but Coach Hedge was there! How did he get here? This lady, Medea, seemed really nice and was helping Leo and I, at least I thought she was great, until Leo and I started fighting each other and Piper broke the spell we had been under. We made it out of there by causing a minor explosion, leaving Medea, but holding on to the spirits and Coach Hedge.
Okay, things aren't going so well, right now. Festus had his circuits freeze up from flying over cold Canada and we ended up crashing into a bunch of port-o-potties somewhere in Detroit, Michigan. Yuck! Piper and I go exploring this old warehouse, and next thing I knew, Piper and I were dangling from a ceiling with three cyclops talking about eating us for supper. Leo came to the rescue and freed us both, but gross, the cyclops started putting themselves back together, so jumped aboard Festus and got out of there.
